When Virgin Air took possession of a three-building complex in Bowen Hills as their new Australian headquarters, Systemax provided a complete web-based building management system featuring:

37 air-cooled, roof-mounted PAC (precision air-conditioning) units with low-level control
30 Daikin Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) unit controls via BACnet interface
270 VAV (variable air volume) box control with local interface temperature sensors
10 Daikin split system units via BACnet interface
Interface to the AMX system for lighting, AC control and set-point adjust via BACnet.

In my 30 years experience in the building services industry and having gone through quite a few major BMCS upgrades and / or replacements in that time, I have never experienced a project of this magnitude go so smoothly – particularly in an occupied building (which we all know is a potential nightmare if not approached correctly and sensitively). It is a credit to you all, and a shining example of what can be achieved when a project is properly planned and resourced by people who have a passion to deliver a first class service.
